Please join us for service on Sunday, May 19 at 10 am.  There is no Sunday School this weekend, however the children are invited to remain in the service with their family.  Coffee will be served after the service.

Hello friends,

We have come to the end of the long Easter season and this Sunday celebrate Pentecost! This is the day we remember and celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit coming to a group of followers of Jesus in the first Century, and still today. Jesus promised his Disciples that they would receive a gift to help them move forward without him. Little did they expect the way this gift would arrive however! The story of Pentecost is filled with fantastic images of wind and fire, and a huge crowd speaking in every language possible…and understanding what everyone was saying. It must have been an incredible scene. From those events, a new Church would be born, as the Disciples began to spread the news of new life in Christ. Some call this day the ‘birthday of the Church’. It is a new day for us too, as once again we take time to give thanks and celebrate the gift of a Spirit who is a companion, guide, inspiration and comforter.
