Sunday Service, April 26, 2026 at 10 am

All are welcome to join us for Sunday Service at 10 am on April 26th. We are pleased to have Rev. Terrie Burry as our guest minister for this Sunday. There is Sunday School during the service and coffee afterwards.

Here is a note about what Rev. Terrie will be sharing with us this week.

This Sunday is the 4th Sunday of Easter and I am thrilled to be spending it with you! Although the weather lately has been quite indecisive about embracing the inevitable shift into spring or remaining in the grasp of winter, Christians in the season of Easter live in the knowledge of empty tombs, new life, and trust that the light will always return.

Our worship together this weekend will centre around the beautiful prayers of Walter Brueggemann (may his memory be a blessing) and the first testament reading of Psalm 23.

Many of us associate the reading and hearing of this psalm with loss: grief, the death of loved ones, mourning, longing to find God in the pain of our lives. My hope for us is that in the experiencing of this scripture in the context of Sunday worship, in the season of Easter, following the discovery of risen Christ, we might reflect differently.

We will begin with two big questions:

1. Who Is God?

(We will wonder together about this with the young at heart)

2. Who Are You?

(This part is our reflection time- maybe the first informs the second?)
