Christmas Greetings, Dear Friends!

The weeks of Advent are named for the gifts God blesses us with: hope, peace, joy, and love; gifts that God dreams we can embrace through a deep encounter with Emmanuel, God with Us. This fourth week is named for Love – a flame that burns in our hearts, as the song says.

The music of Christmas is a miracle of melody and message. Our beloved carols connect us with the foundations of our faith. The choirs and musicians of Sherwood Park United are so grateful to be able to invite you to join us this Sunday morning at 10:00 am for our Annual Christmas Music Service!

It will be such a blessing to be able to gather together in the sanctuary, and savor the beautiful sounds of the season.  You will hear some favourite anthems from our Choir, handbell selections from United Harmony; organ and piano selections from Karen, Glenda, and Edmund; and you will be able to share in singing some of the familiar and beloved Christmas carols that so warm our hearts at this time of the year!

So come and join us this Sunday as we continue our journey toward Christmas, and stay for coffee and conversation downstairs in the Fellowship Hall after the service.
