People of the Book- Fall Book Discussion

We will be signing out “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek” this Sunday, September 10 after worship downstairs  in Fellowship Hall. Discussion will be held on Monday, October 2 at 6:30 pm in the Fireside Room. Newcomers welcome!

“In 1936, Bluet is the last of the Kentucky Blues.Inspired by the true and historical blue-skinned people of Kentucky and the dedicated Kentucky Pack Horse Library Project, “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek” describes a young woman  overcoming discrimination as a young woman of color who seizes the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the poverty stricken Appalachian hill people.
