All are welcome to join us for Sunday Service at 10 am on Sunday, June 2.  Sunday school has completed for the season, so children are welcome to stay with their caregivers during the service.  Please join us for coffee and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall after the service.

Hello friends,

Have you ever missed something great…a blessing because it came to you outside of your preconceived ideas?
The Scripture this week reminds us of the risk in judging what is a blessing based on outward appearances. The people of Israel demanded a King to lead them but the King they got was not ideal. This was Saul, and when he died it fell to Samuel to find and declare his successor. The story of Samuel finding and choosing David is a wonderful lesson for us about the way that blessings can be hidden if we only look at the surface.  David was not a perfect by any means, he had deep flaws.  However, he was an effective King who led his people to a period of prosperity such as they had never seen before.  And yet, when he was first presented to Samuel he did not seemly very ‘Kingly’ at all.  There is a lesson in this story for all of us. Join us on Sunday to worship and celebrate communion.
