Notes from Jim Linnen and family

When we moved here in the 1997/98 church year we were coming from a couple of congregations where we were a highly involved family.  I needed to have a low profile for a while.  You enabled me to do that.  Thank you.

Then one day Rob Reed arrived and it appeared that he needed some help.  It was time to get back in the saddle.  We started up the youth retreat with Camrose United and generated some enthusiasm for Rally.  Youth Rally was always a wonderful and energizing event.  I was one of the lucky ones.  I generally got to go twice a year, junior and senior high.  I was fortunate enough to be a youth leader, home group leader, chaplain and local arrangements co-chair over the years.

This Sunday we will incorporate bits of the first retreat with one of our rally themes.  A bonus for us is that the Radical Gratitude rally was written and led by our own Rob Reed.  Come and listen to what Vicki has to tell you.  It’ll be the first time I hear it too.                                                         Jim
