What the world needs now… is love, sweet love…
Good morning, you beautiful people!
I am absolutely thrilled to be joining you for worship on this May long weekend! This Sunday, we will reflect on love. As sweet as love is, the love I’m referring to is not a sentimental, ooey-gooey sort of love; rather, a bold, public, and trans formative love we have been called to live as Christians. In an increasingly divisive world driven by power, hierarchy, and exclusion, Jesus calls his followers to a counter cultural way: self-giving love. If you’d like to read ahead, you’re invited to check out John’s gospel prior to Sunday, John 13: 31-35. You’re invited to wonder about what the Spirit is saying to you, to the Church, and to the world.
